Hospital Volunteers Needed
KINfolk encourages every hospital that distributes our laptops to children to have a pool of dedicated volunteers who can perform the following activities: deliver laptops, reimage the computers after use and clean the laptop and make sure that the mouse is disinfected. KINfolk hospital volunteers have the joy of seeing the benefit of our laptop lending program first hand.
KINfolk volunteers must complete training required by hospitals for all volunteers and they must complete several hours of 'on the job' KINfolk training. Other responsibilities include keeping track of the inventory of laptops and troubleshooting problems as they occur. KINfolk volunteers also help kids and parents learn how to use computers, play games, and develop Caring Bridge and Care Pages websites.
KINfolk technical and A.I. DuPont Hospital for Children volunteers are: bottom row from left: Linda Liddle, Linda White, Archie Strong, Robin Densten, Joe Giorlando. Top row from left: Rick Lewis, Rob Bates, George Lober, Don Hobson, Brian Curley, Bob Hercer, Brian Poppe.
